Peru Wengers

Gordon and Betsie Wenger have been serving as missionaries to the Quechua people of southern Peru since 2004. We live in Velille, Chumbivilcas, Cusco, a town of about 3,000 people which is central to the surrounding comunities. We are seeking to be the light of Christ in this dark area, by distributing Bibles, preaching, discipleship, leadership training and church planting. Here we are posting our newsletters, other happenings, and photos (mostly for the grandparents sakes).

Samuel's Second Birthday!

Here is the happy birthday boy enjoying his birthday lunch of Mac-and-Cheese and French Fries. He is such a sweet little boy - look at those sparkling eyes!

Thanks Dad and Mom Wenger for the tool box and other gifts you sent. Samuel is having lots of fun with them!

Samuel really enjoyed the lift-the-flap book that you sent, Dad and Mom Howe! Thank you for all the gifts you sent!

Here is Helena - a happy Auntie - with chubby Isaiah. Mom Wenger, Isaiah is wearing the sweater, (under the vest) that you gave me. It is the one that Gordon used to wear!

"I was cold!" Is the caption Rebekah Esh gave this picture. (It is one from our camping trip that we didn't get put on the last blog.) She was "babysitting" Susanna's favorite bunny, Flopsy, and she took Flopsy's "manta" (Peruvian carrying blanket) to wrap around her shoulders on that chilly evening while we waited for the bus to come pick us up.
